Thanks to the Coal Valley Hounds for a great hunt last Friday afternoon. The last day of the field trials was exciting. The hospitality was fabulous! The last pack worked the scent well and at least four coyotes popped up. The breakfast afterwards at the club house was memorable. The images were incredible. I loved the misty road shot with the field of riders off in the distance. The composite of the hounds is irresistable. Ann's eyes are striking as she rides straight for the camera. And don't forget the jumping pictures. Doesn't the dark horse remind you of a carousel horse, suspended horizontally in mid-air? Let me know what you think!
PS Owen is shooting his brother's outdoor wedding on this chilly evening. Pictures to come soon.

Maness - Johnson Wedding - Chateau on the Lake
Marc and Michelle were dazzling at their intimate wedding last Saturday at The Chateau. We had a blast shooting and the small size (45 or so) gave us time to get some out of this world images! A few of my early favorites are attached (but I love them all!). We shot for about 8 1/2 hours. We started at A Nu You salon in Ozark and ended with a fabulous dinner at the Chateau grill. It was a simply elegant affair! Congratulations to Marc and Michelle - we wish you a very happy life together. God Bless you both!
More to come later!

WPPI - Wedding Photographer's Utopia!
Ann and I are back from the Wedding and Portrait Photographer's International (WPPI) convention at Bally's/Paris in Vegas. What a blast! Although there were 15,000 other high end wedding photographers there from around the world, we went out early to take in a few smaller, specialized seminars. We got to meet and learn from some ABSOLUTELY GREAT cutting edge wedding photographers like Clay Blackmore (DC), Doug Gordon (New York), Jim Garner (Washington State), Mike Colón (Hermosa Beach), Yervant (Australia), Jerry Ghiōnis (Australia), and the list goes on! It's such an honor to learn study with the BEST the wedding industry has to offer.
Well, we're back and hard at it. I've been busy with WPPI so we haven't gotten out the March newsletter to announce the WINNER! Hang in there. With any luck we'll get it out this week.
While I was out, my partner Steve did a 12 model makeup fashion shoot last Saturday that we were commissioned to do by Joplin makeup artist Leah Patterson - she's great. Steve and Owen are still recovering! What an effort on their part. Here's one of his images.
