Back In Springfield

Steve, Ann, Colton and I had such a wonderful time at WPPI in Las Vegas. We got to connect with such amazing photographers and were privileged to learn from all of them. You just never stop learning. It's never enough! Everyone should learn as much as they can and be the best they can be in whatever fields of life you have chosen. We had a fabulous time shooting Regina Wilkinson at the Neon Boneyard in her fabulous dress. She was a trooper – many thanks to her and her mom Chris. It had rained for two days before (a rarity in Vegas) and it was 35 degrees out when we started. Despite a few goosebumps, all went well. Regina was beautiful and the images are fantastic! Also, we were pleased to hear that Dawn Shields (www.dawnshields.com) took 3rd in the print competition – many congratulations to her. Her assistant Kyla placed in the album competition as well! Looking forward to the three day seminar with Bambi Cantrell. More later…..

Neon Boneyard Bridal Session

Regina's bridal session at the Las Vegas Neon Boneyard was FANTASTIC!!! The weather was great despite yesterday's rain. The images are UNBELIEVABLE. Regina has so much enthusiasm and her hair and makeup by Amelia Cline (bevainlasvegas@yahoo.com) took the shoot over the top. Here's a teaser, more to come. Brent, wish you were here! -- Craig, Steve and Colton.

Fresh Apples

We're excited to be working for our newest client, Chelsea Thiolet, who's getting married to Brett on May 2 at the Phelps House in Carthage. It's a fabulous venue. Spoiler alert ... not sure if Brett knows about Chelsea's dress, but I do. Perfect! Here's a quick snapshot of Chelsea from today to showcase her as a 1930's noire glamour model. Enjoy.

Amy, Rachel, Carrie and Alysia

--and don't forget Brock, Jason, Clint and Morgan, the lucky grooms-to-be. It was cold outside but hot in the studio for the engagement sessions. Thanks you guys for being such terrific subjects!

Victory Ride 2008

I drew a blank about what to post about this morning. Maybe you'll find these interesting (maybe not). I support Springfield Victory Mission and rode in the 2008 Victory Mission "Victory Ride" this year. I've been photographing for Victory Mission for almost two years now, documenting the various events and activities. The men are authentic and their stories are real. If you haven't been down to beakfast or lunch at their restaurant, the Cook's Kettle at Boonville and Commercial, I encourage you to go. The food is great and inexpensive. You get table service and you're supporting a very important endeavor. Check it out! The ride was great. We left Victory Mission and went out west to to Bois D'Arc and back down to Republic and back in to town. Chili was waiting! Art Bentley was the ride leader- you'll see him on his Triumph in front of the blue building. I particularly liked the picture of the Springfield MC/MM's talking - the Drifters, Gooses and Tribe of Judah. Let me know what you think!

They raised me up on a scissor lift for this one. I don't like heights!
